Welsh Senior Internationals

We, at Builth and District Running Club, are very proud of each and every one of our runners, whatever they achieve … there is something special however when you get called up to wear the National colours at Senior level. This page is dedicated to the talented few who receive this honour.

Reports in chronological order.

Ffion Price representing Wales in Brittany, France.

Ffion Price represented Wales at the Trail de Guerledan in Brittany on the weekend of May 27th 2023. Ffion’s race report : “The race was really beautiful and a well marked course, made tough with the heat and some challenging hills. It was definitely one of the toughest I’ve ever done, however it was made easier with some incredible support and atmosphere around the course. I was pleased to come away with a 6th place overall female and 1st in my age category, along with a quicker time than last year.” Ffion has ran for Wales before, but this is the first whilst representing our club.

Welsh International Donna Morris collected her 2nd cap for her country in mainland Europe, May 2022, and came away with an astonishing victory. The race took place at The Trail de Guerlédan, in the heart of Brittany, in France and you can see Donna’s moment of victory by clicking here. As a club we can only reiterate how proud we are of Donna and hope her achievements help inspire others.

Builth and District’s very own Donna Morris achieved the ultimate dream last week of wearing the Welsh badge on her chest and representing her Country.

Donna was rightfully proud of her personal achievement and capped a very successful twelve months which has seen our gem in the crown rise from a very good club runner to one of the Nations elite.

“What a weekend, international xc in Dundonald, Belfast. First Welsh senior call up. Achieved my aim to not be last although really expected to be in such a high standard race. Not to shabby effort for an old veteran lol. Thanks to my team mates, the whole Welsh team and the coaches who travelled with us.. A memory to last a lifetime.

We are very proud of you Donna
