Welcome to the home of Builth & District Running Club. (Established 2006)
This is the home page of Builth & District Running Club, based in Builth Wells, in the beautiful Mid Wales countryside. We welcome runners of all abilities, runners like you.
We have over 150 members and our aim is to give each and every one of them the platform to grow, as runners, in both confidence and ability. Our mission is to promote running both as a sport and as a recreational activity, together with all of its physical and mental health benefits, to our members and the wider community.
We achieve these aims by providing our club members the benefits of (and not limited to) social runs split into five different ability groups, participation in competitive road and multi-terrain racing, regular in-club fun challenges, access to runners with years of experience, a wide social circle of like minded people, a thoroughly researched race calendar … free entry to Hereford xc league, free sessions with professional coach Bob Smith, access to a level 3 qualified Sports Massager, entry in to the club London Marathon draw, free monthly sessions on the running track in Brecon, money off races through membership to Welsh Athletics and money off purchases from a comprehensive list of Sport Shops. These can be found here.
To the wider community we are big supporters of the local ‘Groe Parkrun’, we offer a Couch to 5k group, two free sessions at our club to see if it is ‘for you’ and we provide a club with an ‘access for all’ attitude and a warm and friendly welcome.
We are also the home of the #BaDRelay15 which we introduced over lockdown 2020 and revisited twice more over the next 18 months. Three events, over 100 teams, thousands of runners, covering tens of thousands of miles, all for fun and all for free.
We meet every Wednesday evening at 6:30pm at the Cricket Club in Builth Wells, and Tuesday evenings 6.30pm, again at the Cricket Club in Builth Wells for our track/hills session.
We would love for you to come and join us 💛🖤💛🖤
